2017 Olympic Photography Workshop Recap

photographer setting up shot with tripod along mossy creek

First off, a big “thank you” to David, Paul, Scott, Mark, Michael, Alan, Geoff, and Domenic for attending the Olympic National Park photo workshop with Vinny and me. We had a blast showing you around to some of our favorite spots along the peninsula.

We got a chance to see a little bit of everything, from the rugged coast, waterfalls, tranquil lakes, and the rain forest. I think I counted two drops of rain the entire weekend, so we really lucked out with the weather and thus we were able to really get out and shoot.

A quick recap of locations:

Thursday sunset – Second Beach
Friday sunrise – Ruby Beach
Friday day – Merriman Falls, Bunch Falls, Graves Creek Trail
Friday sunset – Third Beach
Saturday sunrise – First Beach
Saturday day – Hoh Rain Forest / Hall of Mosses, Sol Duc Falls
Saturday sunset – Lake Crescent
Sunday sunrise – Ruby Beach

We hope you enjoyed the workshop despite the long days and “go go go” pace. Until next time!

-Jim & Vinny
