Arizona’s desert landscapes include iconic locations from the Grand Canyon, slot canyons, Lake Powell, and the Vermilion Cliffs National Monument. When I visited Arizona in the summer of 2012, it was specifically to see the Wave sandstone formation in the Coyote Buttes North region. But I also got to see the hoodoos at Stud Horse Point, Antelope Canyon, and Horseshoe Bend.
