In-Person Sessions: Private Guiding
If you are looking for a highly customizable photography session, whether it be for a few hours or a few days, this is the place. I am a landscape and nature photographer based in Seattle, WA which is central to some of the best photography locations in the Pacific Northwest. I also lived in California most of my life and can arrange sessions along the coast and Death Valley National Park. Sessions can be customized to be location, skill, or goal oriented, and I am happy to accommodate photographers of all skill levels.
Rates:
- Hourly: $125 (2 hours minimum and limited to a 15 mile radius from Seattle, WA). Each additional person is $100/hour.
- Half-day: $450 (4 hour session and limited to a 15 mile radius from Seattle, WA). Each additional person is $250 (5 person limit).
- Full-day: $850 (8 hour session and limited to a 15 mile radius from Seattle, WA). Each additional person is $500 (5 person limit).
- Multi-Day Sessions / Custom: Please contact me to discuss your ideal itinerary. Depending on the duration, number of people, and destination, we can plan the best use of our time together.
- Additional Travel Fees: If your destination is beyond the time frames listed above, I do require my travel expenses be included in the fee which are outlined below:
- Airfare, Rental Car, and Lodging
- $40/hour for drive times
Remote Sessions: Private Mentoring via Zoom
Can’t make it to a field session? Looking for guidance on portfolio reviews, image processing, or learning new photo techniques? Consider booking a private zoom session.
Rates:
- Hourly: $125 or purchase an 8 hour block for $900 with a flexible schedule to use our time in an efficient and meaningful way.
Private Photography Guiding Highlights
Beginner to Advanced Techniques
While I admit I am always learning, I am comfortable teaching advanced techniques such as star trails, time lapse, focus stacking, ICM (intentional camera movement), and compositing time blends for astrophotography. Of course, if you just starting out, we can work on getting a good foundation on settings, best practices, and composition ideas to improve your image making.

If you choose to book a session in and around Seattle, you will get to see some of the amazing aspects that make the Pacific Northwest a premiere photography destination. My knowledge includes the iconic locations along with more off-the-beaten-path places as well.

I moved to the Seattle area in the summer of 2015 and have been photographing the Pacific Northwest since my first trip in 2010. Previously, I lived along the central California coast with a background in marine biology and a life of SCUBA diving and coastal exploration. My work has been featured by National Geographic, Apple, Microsoft, and many more.
