This is a special stretch of coast. Within a quarter mile
of a popular surf spot, I was all alone. I saw raptors soaring
over the fields, a coyote out hunting for food. And down on
the beach, dozens of harbor seals hauled out with their pups.
You know it is a secluded stretch of coast when harbor seals
feel safe enough to raise their young.
At times I felt like an intruder, as the harbor seals scurried
into the water to feel safe, and as the coyote ducked into
the brush to elude me. But I did my best to fit in with nature,
and captured a wonderful sunset to share with you all.
