Wow, I am a slacker. Not much diving,
not many new pictures, but I am determined to change this little
sad fact. I purchased a housing for my digital camera, something
noteworthy enough that I thought I'd mention it. I have sat
on it for a month, continually telling myself to test it in
the pool. Against all better judgement, I took it on a real
dive instead. Needless to say, it didn't flood, but I had focus
issues, and I was unable to solve them underwater. Despite
the lack of focus, I quickly learned the exciting aspect of
instant gratification of digital photography. I also realized
how I spent more time looking at my camera instead of taking
pictures.
You see, with film, you shoot and move on.
You are always looking at the reef, and occasionally through
the viewfinder, often not much more than the 36 frames of film.
With digital, I took close to 90 pictures, and was reviewing
them all as well. It was very easy to get distracted about
where I was and what I was doing. Digital photography will
take some getting used to. So no photos for today, but an entry
nonetheless.
