About Jim Patterson Photography

jim patterson photography I am an underwater, nature, and landscape photographer residing in Santa Cruz, California on the edge of the beautiful Monterey Bay. My passion for photography grew out of a love for SCUBA diving the amazing kelp forests of California. I wanted to share these experiences as well as create compelling images. After several years dedicated to the underwater world, I found new inspiration photographing the coastal seascapes near my home. This love of landscapes has expanded into areas inland as I begin to explore the state and national parks of California.
